Imagining a new life for a disused and ruined fortification building in the Venetian Lagoon.
The Museo Storico Militare, located on Forte Marghera in Venice, Italy was originally made as a defense barracks protecting those inside from the outside. Overtime, the building has been developed and renovated to serve its new purpose as a military museum holding many of the artifacts of the past. In this project, through a series of elevation, section, and plan hand drawn renders, the building is opened up to follow the idea of its purpose now welcoming those outside in instead of blocking those outside out. While discovering Venice, every building may look similar but has their own character to themselves making them unique from each other. These renders from during my time in Venice, shows that discovery of each render being similar while still having their own character and uniqueness.
